(December 9, 2021) The company is encouraging its employees in North America to switch to a digital W-2, with those who opt in by January 14 entered in a prize drawing for an iPad Air 64GB.

By going digital, you help the company reduce paper waste, and printing and mailing costs. You also will be able to access your W-2 more quickly and securely.

When posted ahead of next year’s tax season, your 2021 W-2 will easily be accessible through the secure Employee Self-Service portal. This W-2, along with all future W-2 forms, will be stored in ESS for you to reference at any time.

From preschool to high school, students from schools across Greenlee County participated in Biodiversity Week, an annual event that focuses on fun, interactive ways to learn about the natural world around us.

Rick Coleman, President, Freeport-McMoRan Mining Co., will be transitioning to a new role as President, Growth Support, effective December 1. 

Vaccinations and booster shots are especially important as the pandemic continues, travel ticks up over the holiday season and the country heads into peak flu season, according to Dr. Richard Vinroot, company Medical Director and Vice President, who answers employee questions in a new video.

A new program is enabling El Abra employees to better support causes personally important to them.

Through El Abra in Action, the mine seeks to enhance its relationships with the surrounding communities by providing funding and volunteers for projects that address various community needs. Launched in the summer, El Abra in Action is providing $6,000 (in U.S. dollars) to each of 13 selected initiatives that were pitched by employees and are in the process of being completed.

From running a lemonade and candy stand as a youth to her current role as President and Chief Financial Officer of Freeport-McMoRan, Kathleen Quirk has been driven to succeed in business while constantly learning from those around her.
