(May 18, 2022) Freeport-McMoRan has been named one of the 100 Best Corporate Citizens in the U.S. in annual rankings based on the environmental, social and governance practices of the 1,000 largest publicly traded companies.  

Freeport ranked 61^st overall and fifth in the Minerals Industry category. This is the 10^th time the company has made the list since 2007. Freeport most recently made the top 100 in 2019. 

(May 17, 2022) Fort Madison’s ongoing commitment to facility safety recently was recognized by a national organization that advocates for the chemistry industry.

At its annual expo held in late March, the American Chemistry Council named Climax Molybdenum’s Fort Madison plant as one of 47 recipients of the 2022 Facility Safety award for significant achievements in employee health and safety performance.

Celebrate good times

PT Freeport Indonesia celebrated its 55th anniversary last month with a series of celebrations that included employees and the surrounding communities.

After having to celebrate its last two anniversaries virtually during the height of the pandemic, PTFI recently was able to commemorate its 55^th year with a large gathering of employees and community members.

(May 10, 2022) Julia Torreblanca, Vice President of Corporate Affairs-Cerro Verde, has been elected board president of ComexPeru, a trade association that promotes public policy based on free market principles, private investment and development of foreign trade. She will serve as president of the ComexPeru board of directors until 2024.  

Torreblanca said she will advocate for the organization’s mission to promote employment and improved quality of life in Peru.
