(April 19, 2022) Bagdad is increasing copper and molybdenum production one bubble at a time.  

Last year, Bagdad upgraded its flotation process with something called central launders, which help capture even more concentrated copper- and moly-rich froth as it exits the flotation tanks. A central launder essentially is a metal trough installed in the center of the flotation tank near the top and is designed to lessen the distance bubbles travel to be collected as concentrate.

Richard C. Adkerson, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, will review first-quarter results, which will be released before the opening of the New York Stock Exchange on April 21. The public is invited to listen.

(April 13, 2022) There’s still time to capture that perfect image of wildlife and submit your photo(s) to the company’s annual Wildlife Photo Contest, which ends April 15. 

To date, employees have submitted more than 230 photos from sites companywide. Add yours to the mix – if it’s one of the top two entered, it’ll be featured on the company's pages of the Wildlife Habitat Council's annual calendar.

(April 4, 2022) Twin wildfires that threatened a southeastern Arizona community in March were safely contained thanks to a well-tuned crisis management team comprised of employees from Bisbee Discontinued Operations and outside agencies. 

First reported on March 5, the John Fire started adjacent to a reclaimed stockpile at Bisbee Discontinued Operations. Firefighters contained it within 12 hours and were cleaning up the next day when they spotted smoke rising from the next canyon over in what later would be named the Copper King Fire.
