On Friday February 11th, Climax received the first delivery of parts for Thiess’s Hitachi 600-Ton Class Excavator. Pictured above is the Stick and Boom of the excavator. They were delivered to the Doss build pad, where the excavator will be assembled. I want to thank the different departments/groups who were involved in receiving, escorting and unloading of this equipment. It was completed safely and without incident.

Pictured above is Eric Benson  He is our Sr. NDT Technician here at Climax. Eric and Ryan Poole have been working diligently on the Shovel 4 Bucket conducting an NDT test and Weld Inspection. Last week, we had the pleasure of having Ryan Poole, a Sr. NDT Technician from the Henderson Mine, visit our site.
