We want to thank all Thiess, Climax, Wagner, Terry Crane, Arnold Machinery and Foot Hills Glass personnel for their collaboration on the Excavator assembly. This is a big project with multiple groups working through the progression plan while keeping safety for all involved a priority.  Your hard work and dedication is very important for our future. 

Steven Ebuna from Mill Maintenance led the SPPAT project of creating a cornice removal device that will be placed above the entrance to the Pebble Crusher. Here is a video of the device testing, great job Steven!

Exciting day at the Grand Hotel in Frisco, Colorado! The Climax-Thiess collaboration has progressed to the first Thiess instructor led on boarding class for Thiess employees. The Climax training department will continue to support Thiess training with some classes continuing at the mine site during this transition period.

Last month one of our Maintenance Supervisors (Levi Halverson) had the opportunity to visit Wagner’s weld shop located in Aurora where they are currently welding a new CAT lip on our shovel clam that was sent down for re-build. We would like to thank Wagner for allowing us to tour their shop and for providing updates on these big jobs.
