MIS Monthly Update

This week, Microsoft has rolled out several changes to Microsoft Copilot for Web:

  • You can now access Copilot at a new address (https://copilot.cloud.microsoft/). If you previously accessed Copilot at bing.com/chat or copilot.microsoft.com, you’ll find these links now redirect to the new one.
  • The Copilot “preview” taskbar icon is being phased out. You may no longer see this in your taskbar.
  • Microsoft has made several other smaller changes to Copilot, such as removing the “Conversation Styles” options.

Access Copilot quickly

For quick access to Copilot, you can now pin the Microsoft 365 app to your taskbar. To do this, search for “Microsoft 365” on your computer, then right-click and select Pin to taskbar. Watch the gif in our Viva Engage announcement for further guidance.

Get reintroduced to Microsoft Copilot

Everyone at Freeport has access to Microsoft Copilot for Web (previously referred to as “Microsoft Copilot for Bing”). This generative AI tool can help you find information faster, quickly summarize documents and much more.

If you’re just getting started using Microsoft Copilot, check out our introduction video from earlier this year. Then, visit our SharePoint page to access even more resources and guides. While Microsoft is rapidly making changes to Copilot’s design, the basics of how to prompt and how to use Copilot responsibly have not changed.

We’ll be bringing you even more updates on Copilot through the rest of the year. If you have questions about Copilot, or about how to access it, please contact the MIS Help Desk for further support.
