Date: December 12, 2024

I am pleased to announce the following changes in the Safety, Health and Technical Training department that reflect our commitment to better support safe production and employee development.

As a company, we recognize employee safety and training go hand in hand. This requires bringing the right focus and levels of leadership to all areas of our recently combined functions.

Key to our success will be partnering with site leadership and other stakeholders on achieving safe production goals while maintaining compliant, robust and efficient safety management systems. Leading this effort for our global operations will be Chris Rose, Director-Safety and Health Performance. Reporting to Chris will be Ryan Dunn and Mitch Kruger, each who have assumed the role of Director-Safety and Health Operations Support.

Equally important will be our ability to drive consistent, sustainable programs that develop highly skilled and proficient safety teams. Anna Laija, Director-Safety and Health Learning and Development will lead this effort for North America, as well as set strategic direction for our learning systems and oversee the systems and data analytics team. Reporting to Anna will be Sarah Stacy, Manager-Health and Safety Learning Frameworks and the future Manager-Health and Safety Systems.

So that our safety and health directors can focus on site support and professional development, Rob McLain has assumed the role of Manager-Compliance and Assurance. He will be responsible for delivering technical expertise and developing efficient and reliable sustainable business processes in support of our robust management systems. Rob will report to Chris.

With our continued focus on reducing high-risk incidents, it is crucial employees effectively and consistently use our safety programs to identify risks and mitigate hazards. Driving engagement companywide will be Jim Ishman, who has assumed the role of Manager-Safety and Health Programs. This is in addition to his oversight of our global industrial hygiene programs. Jim will report to Chris.

Lastly, we have renamed the Manager-Root Cause Analysis role to Manager-Safety and Health Continuous Improvement with additional responsibility for companywide adoption of best practices, corrective actions and improvements. This expanded role will leverage our root cause analysis program to reduce high-risk incidents and provide our global operations with actionable insights and tools to support safety in the field. This position will report to Chris.

We are excited about the opportunities these changes will bring to enhance safe production and employee training. Please join me in wishing the entire team continued success and offering your full support in their new roles.
