Photos from Outage

The following are photos and captions sent in by Sierrita miners.

From Ben Jourdanet

"The COT Tripper project replaced the original 60-year-old Coarse Ore Tripper with a brand new one. The Coarse Ore Tripper is used to re-deposit aggregate for another round of crushing if the aggregate is deemed still to coarse after the screen sifting process."

"This outage work involved demolition and removal of the old tripper and flying in the new tripper in 8 separate sections, then assembling."

"Once mechanically assembled, the new tripper had to be electrically wired, communicating, calibrated, commissioned and released for full operation.  All of this was completed within an astonishing 6 days, all with the help of EI, PA, Sturgeon, Brahma, C/C, Plant Engineering, MIS, Dynamo, Caltrol, Marcos Crane and more.

From Andrew Harris

"The cleaned-out dump pocket up at the Primary Crusher - this is rare to see as it is standard practice to keep a certain level of dead-bed material in there to protect the walls. Thought it was neat.""Part of the Mill Water header project. It was a collaborative effort between multiple departments at Sierrita. (...) In the picture, the guys holding the camera equipment were from FM. They assisted in using effectively the same technology a sewer scope to look inside of the pipe to help determine how full it still was and where the water might be coming from. Great collaborative effort and awesome way to pull together resources to problem solve! "

From Danilo Costa

"These are part of the Coarse Ore Tripper (COT) Construction project."
