Reinvent Mining, Freeport’s initiative to help usher in the future of mining, is among the topics highlighted in the latest edition of The Miner, which is available in desktop and mobile formats.

The newest addition to the Americas’ Strategic Objectives, Reinvent Mining is a comprehensive approach to mining that re-evaluates the old way of doing things to improve production, manage costs and ensure long-term competitiveness. In his column, Bert Odinet, Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer, writes about this initiative having the potential to be among a long line of industry advancements company employees have led.

In a wide-ranging Q&A, Josh Olmsted, President and Chief Operating Officer-Americas discusses the importance of Reinvent Mining and the critical work happening within the other Strategic Objectives – Executive for Value, Leach to the Last Drop, Maintenance and Reliability, and Employee Experience.

Other stories in the newly redesigned publication include the cover feature about the first autonomous haul trucks coming online in Bagdad, a story about a host of 2024 records achieved at Freeport sites across the Americas, and an introduction to Henderson’s underground parts store.

In addition to the electronic versions, printed copies of The Miner will be available at company sites in North America in the coming days.
