The company’s United Way campaign starts today. This year’s theme ties to Freeport’s Proudly Creating Better Futures, recognizing how Freeport responsibly moves the world forward.
Through our annual campaign, employees have the opportunity to get involved and give back to make our communities stronger. You can donate online now through November 27.
"United Way works to identify solutions, mobilize resources and connect people in need to services and opportunities so everyone can thrive. Through our support, United Way can carry out this important work in the communities we call home,” said Kathleen Quirk, President and Chief Executive Officer in an email to employees announcing the start of the campaign.
Key features of our company’s campaign include:
- Easy Donation – Select up to three eligible 501(c)(3) agencies to receive your gift and your preferred giving method of a recurring payroll deduction or one-time contribution.
- United Way Match – For donations of $25 or more, the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation will double match the first $1,000 contributed and single match any amount more than $1,000 (up to an annual maximum of $40,000) – making your donation go even further. The company match is directed to your local United Way or equivalent if there is not one in your community.
- Angel Days – Donate ½ percent or more of salary and receive paid-time off (eligibility criteria applies).
- Continuous Giving – Become a Continuous Giver and your donation automatically renews each year.
- Campaign Prizes – Donate at least $25 to have your name entered in various campaign prize drawings.
