Following my recent appointment as your Chief Executive Officer, I am pleased to announce the following organizational structure changes. My direct reports include:
Operations
- Mark Johnson, President and Chief Operating Officer-Freeport-McMoRan Indonesia. Mark will continue in his role as Chair of the PTFI Operating Committee and leadership of long-range planning for the Grasberg district.
- Josh Olmsted, President and Chief Operating Officer-Freeport-McMoRan Americas. Josh will continue in his role leading our Americas mining business.
- Cory Stevens, Senior Vice President and President-Freeport-McMoRan Technical Services. Cory will continue in his role of leading our engineering, construction and technical services organization, providing centralized support for our global operations and organic growth initiatives.
- Javier Targhetta, President-Atlantic Copper. Javier will continue in his role leading the Atlantic Copper organization and oversight for our global copper concentrate marketing.
Finance and Administration
- Douglas Currault, Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Douglas will have responsibility for legal, U.S. government relations and regulatory activities.
- Steve Higgins, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. Steve will oversee our corporate safety and security functions, communications, human resources and sustainability. Steve will continue to provide counsel and advice in our marketing and global supply chain areas.
- Maree Robertson, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Maree will continue to have responsibility for our accounting, tax, treasury, financial reporting, financial planning and analysis insurance, enterprise risk management, and internal audit functions. In addition, David Joint, Vice President-Investor Relations, and Chris Chambers, Director-Enterprise Risk Management, now will report to Maree.
- Tony Wenas, President Director-PT Freeport Indonesia. Tony will continue as Chief Executive Officer of PTFI.
- Dan Kravets has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. In this new role, Dan will assume additional responsibility for copper marketing and global supply chain and will continue to lead our corporate development team.
- Bert Odinet has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer. Bert will be dedicating a substantial portion of his time on innovation and technology initiatives, with a focus on technologies that will drive a step change in our operational practices and performance. In this capacity, he will work closely with Cory Stevens’ team and our operational site management. Bert will continue to lead our information systems organization.
I would also like to announce two other senior promotions:
- Pam Masson has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer. Pam will continue to lead our human resources organization, corporate facilities and services teams and continue to assume greater responsibility for other administrative functions. Pam will continue to report to Steve Higgins.
- Roger Stack has been named Senior Vice President-Freeport-McMoRan Indonesia. In this role, Roger will support PTFI’s mining and smelting operations with strategic planning and analysis, value optimization initiatives and coordination between mine operations and the new smelter. Roger was recently appointed to the PTFI Operating Committee and now will report to Mark Johnson.
I am incredibly excited about the future of our company. Each of you play important roles in making us successful, and our culture of teamwork, collaboration, optimism and drive for success define who we are as an organization.
