Freeport-McMoRan continues to help define the future of mining through its Leach to the Last Drop initiative, but ensuring its competitive advantage means the company also must secure patents to protect its intellectual property.
The intellectual program is highlighted in “Innovating the Future of Mining,” which is the latest video in the Leach to the Last Drop series. During the past 10 years, the company has filed for more than 120 patents and has been issued about 100.
