Employees now can pursue their educational goals with no out-of-pocket expenses, thanks to commitment grants being offered through a new partnership between the company and Colorado Technical University.
Commitment grants are designed to cover 100 percent of college tuition at CTU for eligible, full-time employees in North America. The fully online program offers associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degrees using five-week sessions. More than 80 degrees and concentrations are available for the grant, with company approval.

CTU commitment grants work in conjunction with the company’s tuition reimbursement program to cover tuition, including fees and books. Here’s a sample employee cost scenario:
- CTU calendar-year tuition: $21,960
- Freeport tuition reimbursement funds: $5,250
- Commitment grants: $16,710 (CTU tuition – Freeport reimbursement)
- Total out-of-pocket cost: $0
A dedicated Freeport advisor is available to help employees understand the grant criteria, meet the company’s tuition reimbursement requirements and enroll in classes. They also will evaluate opportunities to receive credits from past college courses and military or qualifying work experience.
