That’s a tagline you’ll see and hear often with the launch of a new employee value statement designed to convey the distinctive benefits Freeport brings to our employees, communities and the world.
“Our goal was to portray the full value of working at Freeport, emphasizing here you can be proud that while building an exciting career for yourself, you also are creating a better future for all,” said Pam Masson, Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer.
Proudly Creating Better Futures is inspired by who we are, what we do and our impact, using a color palette that reflects the rich earth tones of minerals and mining and photos that reinforce people as the most crucial element to the company’s success.
Images were captured over a three-day photo and video shoot at company sites. The video captures the spirit and energy of the value of working at Freeport.
The HR and Communications teams collaborated on the project, engaging with a global consulting firm to evaluate and enhance our internal efforts in capturing the employee experience.
This involved organizing focus groups comprised of both internal and external participants, as well as facilitating a workshop with company leaders. These sessions were instrumental to understanding perceptions of the company and getting feedback.
Insights gained added to the development of the tagline and the following five pillars, which serve as the foundation for how the company is Proudly Creating Better Futures:

“Each pillar was carefully considered and worded to make sure it accurately reflects and captures the essence of who we are as a company – our values, the way we work, the culture we foster, the commitments we make and how we invest in our people,” said Linda Hayes, Vice President-Communications. “We also worked to develop a concise description of what makes Freeport unique and a great place to work.”
