This International Women’s Day, the company celebrates the women whose talent and dedication make the company stronger.
A video being shared with employees around the world and through the company’s social media channels includes a message from Kathleen Quirk, President, recognizing the important contributions women make to Freeport-McMoRan’s success.
“Today, as we celebrate International Women’s Day, we want to shine the light on a big component of our people within Freeport,” Quirk said. “We’ve got thousands of women around the world working in our business making a really positive impact on what we do every day. All of the energy, passion, professionalism and spirit is so inspirational to me personally and to all the members of the team.”
First held in 1911, International Women’s Day is a global day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This year’s theme, Inspire Inclusion, aims to forge a more inclusive world for women.
