Taking Flight

Employees at the company’s Central Analytical Service Center in Safford recently gathered at the Safford Regional Airport for a series of workshops designed to encourage collaboration and personal growth.

About 100 CASC team members participated in one of the three half-day sessions themed “Aim High, Fly Higher.” Topics included understanding individual work styles, maximizing teamwork, balancing work and home life, and the importance of treating everyone with dignity and respect.

Two of the three sessions were geared toward frontline employees, while the third day focused on leadership. The frontline session also featured a workshop focusing on single-minute exchange of die, a system for reducing the time it takes to complete equipment changeovers. For the leaders’ session, an Arizona State University professor and an area principal shared about different styles of leadership and why human interaction is so important in an increasingly automated world.
