(November 1, 2022) Children of company employees may be eligible for financial support to help complete their education through the Freeport-McMoRan Scholarship Program, which opens today.
The Freeport-McMoRan Scholarship Program awards scholarships to dependent children (as defined in the FM Scholarship Program Guidelines and Procedures), of full-time, active employees working at a U.S. location, as well as all expatriates or third country nationals on a U.S. payroll. The application process for the scholarships is online.
Transferred employees on temporary assignments are not eligible; however, they remain eligible for their home country programs. If you have a child in his or her last year of high school or currently enrolled as a full-time student in a two- or four-year undergraduate program at a college, university or hospital school of nursing, he or she may be eligible for the program.
The applicant may visit https://aim.applyists.net/Freeport to set up an account with International Scholarship & Tuition Services, Inc. (ISTS) and complete an online application for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Online applications will be accepted beginning today through January 26, 2023.
Each year, the program awards up to 20 new scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,500. To apply, your child must:
- Meet the program eligibility requirements as outlined in the FM Scholarship Program Guidelines and Procedures
- Complete and submit the online application form and supporting documents by Thursday, January 26, 2023
