Eligible employees who refer candidates through October 31 can receive the bonus for each successful hire for all externally posted North America full-time positions below executive level. This includes OM5 and above mechanic and electrician positions covered under the Skilled Trades program.

The enhanced referral program was announced in an August 22 FM News story. Since then, more than 1,000 candidates have applied and indicated they heard about the job through an employee referral. During the same timeframe, employee referrals made up 25 percent of all applications.
The Refer and Earn Bonuses program is one way the company seeks to recruit top talent in today’s competitive job market. Other ongoing recruiting activities include print, digital and social media advertising as well as various in-person and virtual career events.
More recently, Human Resources staff, hiring managers and recruiters hosted some 100 attendees at career events near Safford, Morenci and Chino. The company interviewed 52 candidates, of which 35 were hired and now are joining the Freeport team.
