In a new video, Josh Olmsted, President and Chief Operating Officer-Americas, and Dr. Richard Vinroot, company Medical Director and Vice President, discuss their reasons for getting the COVID-19 vaccine – to not only protect themselves and loved ones but also to protect our communities and our operations.
“I want to encourage everyone to get the vaccine,” Olmsted said in the video, noting that he received the vaccine to protect his elderly mother and in-laws. “(The virus) has had a significant impact on the world. It’s had a significant impact on each one of us. It’s had a significant impact on our business.”
Vaccinations are especially important as cases are increasing due to the highly contagious Delta variant. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently advised vaccinated people to wear a mask indoors in public in areas of high transmission to maximize protection and to prevent possible spread to others.
In addition, Dr. Vinroot answers questions about the vaccine and the company policy on wearing a mask.
