Tremendous Teamwork at Climax

On Monday, September 12, 2022, the Drill & Blast Team noticed a female moose hanging out in the bottom of the Climax Mine pit. Climax teams from various departments (D&B, Environmental, Mine Engineering, Surveying, and Pit Teams) worked together from safe distances to safely escort the moose back to its natural habitat. The moose was not in distress at anytime during the escort and walked out of the pit on her own. The teams created a safe path for her. A great example of Collaborate as One Freeport with a strategic plan and effective communication throughout the process.
