Climax Molybdenum employees: Alex Ungers, Travis Brown, Meagan Graham, Jeff Hilt, Tad Fry, Matt Pringle, Amanda Rocha, Josh McGill, Katie Lyons, Matt Main, Joel Sovinski, Kevin Graham, Eric Hakes, Jake Schroeder, Brandon Overall, and Michael were selected from a pool of nominated employees to participate in a scramble format golf tournament hosted by the Colorado Mining Association on July 29, 2022.
Employees were nominated based on past activities and behaviors that directly impact the two biggest current challenges to the operations, employee vacancies and safety. Nominations were reviewed by the Leadership team and when approved, were entered into a lottery for participation. The lottery winners were randomly placed on teams to further enhance our Freeport Edge Behaviors by making introductions between colleagues for improved collaboration both at work and at play.
The Annual CMA Golf Tournament raises money for educational opportunities, member events, and legislative efforts to support the mining industry. This year's tournament was played on July 29, 2022, at the Walnut Creek Golf Preserve in Westminster, CO. The Climax Team 4 made up of Eric Hakes, Jake Schroeder, Brandon Overall, and Michael Harlan won first place in the second division of the tournament. We want to congratulate these winners and all the participants who exhibit the Freeport Edge Behaviors every day.
Everyone who participated had a wonderful time and looks forward to the opportunity to participate in future activities. Engaging with colleagues in new ways expands our working relationships and enhances our collaboration efforts to meet the work challenges we face. Making Freeport Edge Behaviors the way we do our work is the recipe for success in these challenging times. Until next year, enjoy your memories and never stop driving for success.
