PLEASE SHARE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WITH EMPLOYEES IN YOUR WORK AREA WHO MAY NOT HAVE ACCESS TO E-MAIL:

Industrial Scientific, the company responsible for our personal atmospheric monitors, recently pushed a software update, which has had a negative impact on a large percentage of our monitors. There are no issues with the monitors' ability to detect various gas levels or toxins, so all low- and high-level alarms will function as normal.  However, the 24-hour bump timers are not resetting properly (even though the monitor is bumped at the start of shift) and will result in a warning “chirp” every couple of minutes that the bump is overdue.

We are working directly with the vendor to resolve this issue as soon as possible, and we will communicate the next steps once we have a solution.  Please continue to bump and use the monitors as normal.  If there is any alarm or error other than bump overdue, please safely remove yourself from the work area and alert your supervisor as you normally would.
