The Safford Leaching Solutions team has all Leaching employees involved in its project work, with the goal of creating one of the largest working Freeport Edge teams. Front-line employees get the opportunity to rotate in and out as team leads. Crews actively plan and execute projects, collaborate with other teams and contractors across the site as needed, and set their own completion schedules. Leaching’s senior leadership coaches and supports the team, helping prioritize ideas, securing resources, and removing any roadblocks. Since early 2020, the 80-member SLS team has delivered more than 50 wins in areas such as safety, equipment health, operational efficiency and cost savings. They continue to build on that momentum as they use the Freeport Edge Behaviors to achieve Leaching's best day every day.
